Say hi to Windows 8.2 — er, 10

Windows 8 is likely that the Microsoft operating system ever released worstdesktop. Since Windows 8 is against all failure-to-doodles times like Vista and Windows ME, which is saying something.
It's not just me saying that. The market agrees. Look at the numbers in October 2014, the market share of operating systems Netmarketshare. Windows 8 and 8.1 had a total share of 16.8%. How bad is that? It was bad enough behind the long dead and buried officially Windows XP, even after unexplained fell 6.7% in a month.

Two years on Windows 8 debacle, which could make Microsoft? Punta replacement. And try to stay away from Windows 8 as much as possible by calling the Windows 10 instead of the logical sequence of Windows 9. But when you actually use, how you feel is Windows 8.2.

This is definitely not the way Microsoft wants you to feel about it, though. Terry Myerson, group executive vice president of Microsoft operating systems, said the rather unexplained name this way: "For we are not building a product incrementally, the new name will be Windows 10." Sorry, Microsoft; "Incremental" accurately describes this product.

Check Windows 10 for himself. You will find that the biggest change is the interface. And you do not know what is.

It's the return of the Start menu! Users have been asking for this since he disappeared in Windows 8. Microsoft seemed to promise a return timidly on the Start menu in Windows 8.1, but for some reason that did not happen. I think this return to something that has been standard for a long time Windows had to wait for the so-called revolutionary-had-to-go-to-number-version of Windows 10.

So you have the start menu again, what else? Honestly, other than that, I did not see a lot back in the first two beta of Windows 10. The best "new" feature is virtual desktops. This is a renovated property, which lets you use Virtual Desktop Manager to work with four different virtual desktops. For example, you can keep job applications on a desktop, another social network, and games that really, really do not want your boss to see you play in another.

I think virtual desktops are very useful, but then that's because I've used for quite a long time. Apple introduced Spaces on Mac with Mac OS Leopard in 2007, Linux has virtual desktops from KDE 1.0, developed in 1998. Now that I think about it, I seem to remember that virtual desktops in OS / 2 Warp, circa 1996, and the Amiga 1000, believe it or not, 1985.

Microsoft Path to innovate! Woo-hoo!

Of course, Microsoft claims that Windows 10 is better in many other ways. For example, Microsoft claims that Windows 10 has the highest security. And that would be reassuring, I guess, if Microsoft has not done this statement with each new version, only to have each new security breach still major concerns all versions of Windows. Weird, huh?

Here is the final result. In Windows 8.2, um, 10, is actually better than Windows 8.1. In this beta, where things can and will go wrong, I find it much nicer to use. Also 'surprisingly fast for a beta.
I do not use it for production - not due; this is a beta version - but I can see the true blue fan of Windows that have had their faith shaken by Windows 8.x back to the church of the Holy Trinity of Gates, Ballmer and Nadella when Windows 10 was released in 2015.

Me? I'll stick with my trio of desktop operating systems like Linux Mint, Ubuntu and Chrome OS.
Windows 10 is a cleaned-up version of Windows 8. Seems to be a worthy successor to Windows 7, but that's what Microsoft needed to release in 2012. It is neither a new nor revolutionary operating system, but Microsoft had replaced have to occur.
